Betsy began her acting career as a famous tap dancer and singer at the age of eight, growing up in a small town in Michigan. With enough kids on the block to put on talent shows in the neighbor's garage, she charged admission, made a profit, and had her first stage role as 'The Grinch' by the time she was in 5th grade. Today she is probably best known among horror movie fans as Linda from Sam Raimi's famous cult classic Evil Dead, and is thrilled that some horror fans still cringe when they hear her eerie laugh at autograph conventions all over the world.
After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Theatre Education, she began her professional career with singing engagements in Miami Beach, narrating at auto shows all over the U.S., and industrial films, including dancing and singing with Robert Morse (Mad Men). Other stage credits include touring with Kaye Ballard and Eddie Bracken in Barbary Coast, Marion Paroo in The Music Man, and Judgment at Nuremberg with Katharine Ross. Most recently, Betsy has returned to the cabaret arena with comedy and singing one-woman shows. Recent commercials include Ally Bank, Symbicort, Geico, Comcast, Florida Citrus, Sears, Dramamine, Toyota, ReMax, and more. Film credits include Word of Honor opposite Karl Malden and John Malkovich, Six Weeks with Dudley Moore, Elmore Leonard's Appearances, Witches' Night with Gil McKinney, the psychological thriller 2084, OZ the Great and Powerful, Lake Eerie, and Speedwagon. TV credits include CBS's Rush Hour, The Young and the Restless, The Last Ship, New Girl, True Blood, Days of Our Lives, The Middle, Southland, E.R., and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, ABC's Mistresses, USA's Shooter, Showtime's Ray Donovan, and Amazon's Hand of God.
Involved in the business both on and off camera, Betsy owned and operated Land Yachts Motorhomes for more than 20 years, supplying mobile offices and trailers to the commercial and film industries. Married and living in Los Angeles with her husband and family, Betsy also works weekly in the local schools as an elementary vocal teacher to more than 1400 students, reminding them to sit up straight - and encouraging them always to sing from their hearts.
